The Department of History and Anthropology at the University of Alabama
at Birmingham is seeking applications for a one year, non-tenure earning
appointment in post-Reconstruction American History with an emphasis on
the Modern South. The position will involve teaching four courses per
semester including graduate seminars, upper level courses for majors and
surveys in US history. Possible subfields are US legal, diplomatic,
political and/or constitutional history. Position requires PhD in hand
by June, 2010 and some teaching experience. Please send letter of
