Second Annual War on the Silver Screen Film Festival
The second annual War on the Silver Screen Film Festival will take place
February 22-24 at 7:00 pm in the Johnson Center, Cinema. This year’s
theme is /Black at War: Race, Hollywood, and American Military History/.
Each night, we will screen a film that highlights the unique experience
of African Americans at war: /Sergeant Rutledge/ (1960), /Glory /(1989)
and /Dead Presidents/ (1995). Afterward, a History faculty member will
facilitate discussion with the audience. We hope to make these evenings
fun and informative for all who attend, and hope to see you there.
