2. Graduate Student Summer Opportunity in Intelligence Analysis
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) is seeking
about 30 highly motivated graduate students interested in careers in
intelligence analysis to study and work with currently serving analysts
during an intensive two-week residential seminar in Washington D.C.
Students will interact with frontline analysts working high profile
intelligence issues, engage with senior Intelligence Community (IC)
managers, with senior policymakers and eminent experts, and make site
visits to IC agencies for in-depth analytic sessions.
The National Security Analysis Summer Seminar will be held July 13-24 and
will address the theme: "Political Instability - International Systems in
Transition." Travel expenses, room and board, course materials and a
$1,000 stipend will be paid. The seminar's co-sponsors are the Deputy
Director of National Intelligence for Analysis/National Intelligence
Council Chairman and the Office of the Intelligence Community Centers of
Academic Excellence. Application deadline is April 30.

3. Department of Commerce Internship
Hurry! There's still time, but you must act now! The Department of
Commerce (DOC) is looking for students in the D.C. metro area majoring in
geography, computer science, information systems, web design, statistics
or social sciences.
Selected students will participants in the DOC Student Internship for
Postsecondary Students for approximately 10 weeks. These internships offer
students the opportunity to participate in hands-on education and training
related to their fields of interest and the DOC.
Benefits: weekly stipend of $450 for undergraduates, $550 for graduate
students; $125 per week housing allowance and limited travel
reimbursement; accidental medical expense coverage provided.
Interested students must be U.S. citizens. Applications are due by April
