thanks for your answers regarding my scripting problem! In the end I decided
against scripting, thanks to Sean's various suggestions.
I built some additional loops around the job-loop in Evolve.main() that
automatically vary my parameters and then let the number of jobs start as
specified in the params file. This has the advantage that I don't have to
reseed. Every time the first job of a new parameter constellation starts,
the initial seed of the params-file is loaded.
I have to admit this approach is quite crude but serves for my purpose and
is less time consuming, a big advantage because time is the current
bottlneck...
