Checking out your survey led me to go look at JGAP again. And I
found something that's very disturbing and I wanted to verify it with
any current JGAP users on the list: it appears JGAP is using
java.util.Random uses a broken version of an old linear congruential
generator and is highly nonrandom:
This casts into considerable doubt most of the research done so far
using JGAP. I'm not getting a good feeling here. :-(
I'm suddenly more glad I developed MTF for ECJ way back when. Even
if we don't have any unit tests!
