Town Hall: Global LGBT Equality, Asylum Seekers Speak Out

Join the DC Center’s newest initiative – Center Global – for a frank discussion 
on the challenges facing LGBTI asylum seekers in the United States. Many of 
these individuals seek refugee and protection in the U.S. from being 
persecuted, threatened, and in some cases jailed and tortured in their countries 
of origin. Asylees, current asylum seekers and legal experts will talk about the 
difficult process LGBTI asylum seekers face and the challenges they experience 
once they arrive in the United States. Come find out what our community can 
do to help LGBTI asylum seekers in the DC Metro area.
