WEEF-GEDC 2018, The Peace Engineering Conference, combines several international conferences and unites diverse stakeholders to learn, share and build fruitful and long-term collaborations:
* 8th WORLD ENGINEERING EDUCATION FORUM (WEEF) CONFERENCE
At this annual summit of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES ) stakeholders in engineering education are gathering to dialogue on ways to increase the effectiveness of global partnerships, harness the expertise and commitment of the international community and of local and regional players alike for a sustainable future.
* 10th GLOBAL ENGINEERING DEANS COUNCIL (GEDC) CONFERENCE
Providing engineering deans and rectors with ideas, tools, and best practices necessary to become innovative leaders of engineering education, research and entrepreneurship.
* 15th GLOBAL STUDENT FORUM CONFERENCE
Organized by the Student Platforms for Engineering Education (SPEED), GSF draws academicians, representatives from government bodies, industry and non-profit organizations, and an increasing number of students from all around the world to discuss issues pertinent to the Engineering Education system.
* 1st GLOBAL CAREER FAIR
An opportunity for employers and institutions of higher education to engage with engineering students from around the world in face-to-face and virtual interviews. WEEF-GEDC2018 also features a Global Entrepreneurship Challenge, Innovation Plaza.
In the heart of the American Southwest, Albuquerque, New Mexico, the gathering is hosted by the University of New Mexico School of Engineering in conjunction with the Ibero-American Science and Technology Consortium (ISTEC), and the Global Innovation Network for Entrepreneurship and Technology (GINET).
