All,

Mason has been on the GSA Schedule for Engineering Services for awhile with virtually no information about this contracting vehicle being distributed to the faculty. As you might imagine, with it being virtually unknown, there has been no use of the schedule by anyone at Mason. The obvious candidates to use it are faculty in VSE. Because it cost the university money each year to remain on the schedule, the university will likely terminate being on the GSA schedule if it continues to not be used. Miike Laskofski reached out to me and asked whether VSE has any interest in using the Engineering Services schedule. I told him that I doubt too many faculty know about the contracting vehicle and that I would reach out to the faculty to discover their interest.

There are three labor categories covered by our agreement with the GSA: Subject Matter Expert, Senior Consultant, and Consultant. The allowed pricing for the first two is around $160 to $170 per hour and for the third about $85 per hour.

Through this email, I am requesting you to contact me if you have interest in using the GSA Engineering Services schedule. If so, I need 3 pieces of information from you:

1. Which of the services in the attached flyer you would be interested in using and how - please be specific about the opportunities you see.

2. For which federal agencies would you find this schedule valuable?

3. What is the total annual expenditures that you believe could be generated through use of the GSA schedule for these opportunities?

I realize these will just be estimates and projections, but we need to make a business decision about whether to continue on the GSA schedule.

Please send me your information by Monday, August 28.

Thx.
