*Jie Xu of the Systems Engineering & Operations Research Department has 
been selected to receive a 2013 Ralph E. Power Junior Faculty 
Enhancement Award.Oak Ridge Associated Universities sponsors these 
awards, and the recipients receive a $5,000 research award from ORAU.


*Damon McCoy and Houman Homayoun Receive Funding from General Motors*

Damon McCoy of the Computer Science Department and Houman Homayoun of 
the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department received $261K from 
General Motors LLC for their project "Cybersecurity Penetration Testing 
Research".


*Damon McCoy Receives Funding from NSF*

Damon McCoy of the Computer Science Department received $11K from the 
National Science Foundation for his project "TWC: Frontier: 
Collaborative: Beyond Technical Security: Developing an Empirical Basis 
for Socio-Economic Perspectives---Participant Support".


*Robert Elder and Alex Levis Receive Funding from U MD / US Dept. of 
Homeland Security*

Robert Elder and Alex Levis of the Electrical & Computer Engineering 
Department received $69K from the University of Maryland and the US 
Dept. of Homeland Security for their project "South Asia Geopolitical 
Stability Follow-On Study".
