Hi Everyone,

I hope you're all having a great summer.  I'm sorry but I have to start 
reminding everyone
early about Fall GRA hires on research grants.

There two new events impacting how we hire the GRAs on grants and this 
is why
we're asking for your info earlier than ever:

First, this Fall we are required to submit GRA hires by an upload sheet 
to Human Resources
by *Monday, August 12, 2013*. We can enter them manually after that date 
but the former is
the preferred method for their hire into the Banner system.

Second, the Provost's Office has told us this morning that GRAs who 
start the Fall semester late,
after the semester start of *8/25/13*, will *not be eligible* for health 
insurance covered by the
grants.  This is on top of all the other requirements for health 
insurance (one year GRA
contract of at least 10K).

Please email Joyce Kong and I with your research grant GRA selections by 
*Friday, August 9th.*
