Hi,
I am seeing a lot of email this weekend from students asking questions
about software and VSE systems. In an effort to relieve student
frustration, we have prepared some documentation for use with your
classes and/or to be inserted in your syllabi. One document, “Student
Welcome” is a brief introduction to some of the services our department
offers to our students and might help the students find answers to their
questions more rapidly. You can find the latest version of this document at:
http://labs.vse.gmu.edu/uploads/FacultyFAQ/StudentWelcome.pdf
The second document, located at:
http://labs.vse.gmu.edu/uploads/FacultyFAQ/SyllabiTexts.pdf
contains some suggested wording on various topics to be inserted in your
course syllabus. Please select those that are relevant to your course(s)
and insert or forward to your students as needed for your courses. We
hope this will reduce the number of emails we get from students who need
help with locating resources or instructions.
Jonathan
