Presentation: Geoinformatics at George Mason University: Digital Imagery and
Geospatial Information

Biography: Dr. Peggy Agouris is Professor and Chair of the Department of
Geography and Geoinformation Science at George Mason University. She is also
the Director of the Center of Earth Observing and Space Research, one of the
largest research centers at GMU. Prof. Agouris received her Diploma in
Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, and
her M.S. and Ph.D. from the Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering and
Geodetic Science, The Ohio State University. Prior to joining George Mason
University in 2007, Prof. Agouris was with the Swiss Federal Institute of
Technology in Zurich (1993 - 1995) and the University of Maine (1996 -
2006).
