Welcome back to a new semester next week.
Whether you are thinking about a permanent job starting in May, or a
summer job, or you just want an overview of career paths in civil
engineering, you are invited to a career panel organized by our Civil
Engineering Institute advisory board.
The panel will be held on Wednesday, February 9, from 4pm to 5:30pm in
room 4201 of the Nguyen Engineering Building.
Five engineers who have followed quite different career paths will
answer questions including:
What are areas of job/business growth in civil engineering in the near
and mid-term?
What does an engineering career path look like in a public utility? The
military? A design firm?
What impresses employers most in a resume? In an interview?
What should interns and new engineers pay attention to on the job to
impress their bosses?
What are the pluses and minuses of different kinds of post graduate
degree programs?
What are non-traditional career paths for engineers?
A flier is attached.
Join us.
