Subject: FW: Scholarship opportunity for our students

Hello Bioengineering students-

The application portal only accepts the first 200 applicants, so you need to apply asap, as they’ve already started accepting applications.

Subject: Scholarship opportunity for our students

Hello. I am writing to announce the application opening for the scholarship opportunity funded by Long Nguyen and Kimmy Duong Nguyen and managed by the Kimmy Duong Foundation. Please share this opportunity with your students and all student groups you work with and encourage them to apply. A flyer with details is attached and I will be posting this around the building on Monday.

Here are a few key things to note about this scholarship -

  * There are 100 scholarships available to students enrolled at seven local institutions, which means there is a high chance of Mason students receiving these scholarships
  * There are two scholarship programs – one for Vietnamese American students and the other for non-Vietnamese American students; all applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents
  * Scholarships will range from $1,000 - $3,000 and are renewable for up to four years for students seeking a bachelor’s degree – this is a very lucrative opportunity for students to pursue!
  * A $5,000 scholarship is available for graduate students and is renewable for 2 years.
  * The portal to submit applications opens on January 21 and closes on March 5, however, they will only accept the first 200 applications – tell your students to apply as soon as possible or they will miss out on this opportunity
