Dear Students,
The following was sent last week as an Outlook Invitation but in case you do not use Outlook, we wanted to be sure you have the information. This event is such a great opportunity to learn about different areas of industry and research within bioengineering. We hope you take time to listen in.
Thank you,
Carol

Dear Mason Bioengineering Students,

The Mason Bioengineering Alliance is your department's advisory board composed of 32 local industry and government experts in biomedical engineering and health sciences :
https://bioengineering.gmu.edu/partners/mason-bioengineering-alliance
They are leaders in our field and as local companies and institutions, they also have opportunities for internships and employment. In any case, they are a great source of information and expertise and can be part of your developing professional network.

We invite you to our 2020 Alliance Research Symposium on November 16 from 9am-12:15pm.

14 members of the Alliance and 2 guests from the FDA will provide overviews of their business explaining their research, development and manufacturing interests.

The agenda is attached and below. The morning is organized into three themes each of which is followed by a panel discussion :
Theme 1: Imaging and Image Guided Surgery
Theme 2: Cellular and Molecular Therapeutics and Biomanufacturing
Theme 3: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Digital Health

We hope that you can attend to learn more about your advisory boards activities and interests.
You can also ask questions to them during the panel discussion and follow up later if there are certain aspects you would like to know more about.

We look forward to seeing you there,

Thank you,

Siddhartha Sikdar and Michael Buschmann
