I am scheduled to teach the following new class this fall:

STAT 765 - Advanced Topics in Categorical Data Analysis
Credits: 3
Prerequisite(s): STAT 652 and STAT 665.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Covers advanced techniques for categorical data analysis and the theoretical basis for the analysis of categorical data. Topics include: models for multinomial responses, matched pairs, repeated measures, and ordinal data; random effects models; asymptotic theory for parametric models; theory for maximum likelihood and alternative estimation methods; and exact inference. Statistical software packages are used extensively for data analysis.

However, currently there are not enough students enrolled to offer the course. So, in the hope of attracting more students (in particular those who have not taken STAT 665), I am changing the prerequisites to:
STAT 652, STAT 656, and working knowledge of SAS.
This is require reviewing some of the material from STAT 665, and thus not covering all of the topics listed in the course description.

If you are interested in registering for this course, I will need to give you an override in Patriot Web due to the change in prerequisites.

So, please email me by 7/8 if you are interested in taking the course. We will be making a decision sometime after that date as to whether or not to cancel the course due to low enrollment.

Dr. Davis
