Subject: Data Services is hiring a Quantitative Specialist

Hi Professor Davis,

Data Services in the Library is looking to hire a quantitative
specialist to help assist students and faculty with data management and
basic statistics. It is a student wages position for 10-15 hrs a week
and a great opportunity for the right person to refine their data and
consulting skills.

I'm writing to see if you know anybody who might be a good match and
could encourage them to apply (particularly students who will not be
graduating this year). The ideal person:
- has good problem solving and people skills
- has a strong foundation in math or basic statistics
- is interested in learning SPSS & Stata

The job is posted on hiremason.gmu.edu (ID: 131984) for the next few
weeks and the description is also included below.

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Thank you,
Debby Kermer

p.s. The student *cannot* have another job on campus and must be
available during normal business hours (M-F 10am-6pm). Teaching
experience is required, but even informal teaching/helping counts (like
helping a parent learn to use a smartphone). Pay is commensurate with
experience.
