Dear ECE Students,

Welcome to the Fall 2011 semester. At the beginning of the semester, we
would like to bring up some key information that require your attention:

. The add/drop period ends next Tuesday, September 6. This is a
shorter period than in the past; moreover, it is immediately after Labor Day
Weekend. Therefore, you need to make sure that you are registered correctly
for the courses you intend to take this semester. Check your transcript on
Patriotweb. If you need to add a course/credit to your fall studies, do so
immediately. Individualized section forms must be signed by department
chair, so they must be in ECE office asap for processing before the
September 6 deadline.

. Review the Registrar's official calendar for key dates this
semester. If you have incomplete work due from either Spring or Summer
2011, that work is due to your professor by October 28. The grades must be
posted by November 4. After November 4, the computer turns the Incomplete
grade to an F grade -- automatically.

. Do you plan to graduate Fall 2011? Please file your intent to
graduate via Patriotweb, IMMEDIATELY!!!

. The University's Course Catalog is also online. This catalog
contains information on Graduate Policies, Volgenau school academic
policies, and your Program's requirements. Please review these portions of
the Catalog, as they have changed for the 11-12 academic year.

Thanks you for your hard work, and best wishes for a successful semester.

Best,

Sisi Jou
