Helicase is seeking a technically oriented team member with experience in text data analytics to work on a cutting-edge U.S. Government research and development program focused on forecasting emerging technologies and horizon scanning. The program is building and evaluating tools to improve understanding of research and development in a wide range of science and technology fields and our ability to forecast future developments based on a range of data sources. The successful applicant will work with a team of analysts and engineers.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in text data mining, predictive analytics, and data visualization and a degree in a related field. The candidate should be comfortable coding software, evaluating code provided by partner organizations, and overseeing efforts to build and integrate software and data infrastructure. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and must be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance. An existing clearance is not required, and it may be possible to start work while a clearance is being processed.

Job Ad (Senior Analyst)
Helicase is seeking an analyst with experience assessing technology and national security issues to join our team to work on a cutting-edge U.S. Government research program focused on forecasting emerging technologies and their implications. The program is conducting deep-dive assessments of critical technology areas and building and evaluating tools to improve understanding of research and development in a wide range of science and technology fields. The successful applicant will work with a team of analysts and engineers, but does not need to have an engineering or computer science background.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience conducting analysis of technologies, preferably in the defense context. The candidate should be comfortable conducting literature reviews, conducting interviews, and writing clear and accessible products tailored to customer needs. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and must be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance. An existing clearance TS//SCI clearance is strongly preferred, but is not required.
