Position Opening Announcement
Multiple graduate research assistant positions available for Summer 2017.
Position 1 (one opening): Mobile device forensics
Support development of models relating partial digital artifacts to past application use on mobile devices. Execute data collection experiments using Android SDK emulator, develop and modify data processing and analysis code (Python), develop and test probabilistic models, and support code development for integration into the Autopsy forensics framework.
Required skills and experience: Android SDK emulator, file systems, Linux, Python, data analysis and modeling (especially statistical analysis and probabilistic modeling).
Position 2 (three openings): Industrial Control Systems (ICS) lab
Build, configure, and operate an ICS lab on campus. Hardware (workstations, network gear, PLCs, and devices) have been acquired and architecture designed. Project is to implement the lab, design activities, and prepare to operate the systems.
Required skills and experience: networking, PLC configuration, hardware setup and configuration (especially ICS devices like pumps, valves, etc.), programming (C, Python), and virtual machine configuration and operation.
These positions pay $20 per hour, 40 hours per week for the Summer. The positions are available immediately.
