Major universities in the Commonwealth of Virginia have formed a coalition to offer various graduate engineering courses under the banner "Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program (CGEP)." These courses are offered as distance education courses and you will get credit for these courses towards the graduate degree at GMU.

Among the list of CGEP course for Spring 2013, CEIE graduate students (MS and PhD) with transportation concentration are strongly encouraged to register for CE 6450 - Transportation Safety Planning, offered by the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Virginia.
