After doing a bit of negotiation with NCSA and U Illinois, I am pleased to announce that NCSA Portfolio is now under the Apache 2.0 license.

If you're wondering what this is: NCSA Portfolio is a collection of Java3D extensions which are useful for doing stuff in MASON's 3D visualization, particularly in loading scenes from a variety of common file formats.  NCSA Portfolio is not required for MASON but it's discussed in the manual and now comes in the Mason library package on the home page.
