We are just know gearing up to convert all our checkins to MARC and start
much more regular batchloading to OCLC.

But so far it looks like we won't be using MARCedit. We have a III system
and we are for the most part using create list strategies to gather
records, using III export tables to create files to send directly to OCLC.
In some cases we export bib and item data to OCLC and they use that to
create stub LHRs in a custom batch process.

We have a programmer who is using exported data from III to create
checkins for multivol. sets where we don't have them, but he is using some
other kind of software, I believe. Though MARCedit might be involved in
some stage of that....

We will use III rapid update though to take his data and convert to MARC
those basic III checkins that get loaded from his programming.

In short, we are doing everything in batch that we can, and it is
possible. I don't know all the details, but if let me know and I can put
you in touch with those that do.
