Ok -- I see what's wrong. Two things -- one I can accommodate, the other I can't.
1) The reason when you make the record then break it -- the first record doesn't look right -- your data is invalid. The first record, the leader has 25 bytes. It should have 24. That error will cascade itself through the file.
2) The reason you are losing a page is because it's never seen by MarcEdit. The reason is that your file format is incorrect. There should be a blank line after each record -- the last record on your page doesn't have a blank line. If you break the record with the MarcEditor -- this line will always be present. How are these records being generated -- because that missing line is the problem. In most functions, I have tried to accommodate this -- but hadn't in the paging. I've made a small tweak on my end that will allow mnemonic files that are missing this formatting element to be seen correctly.
I'll be uploading an update this evening -- so this will show up in that update.
