Hello Emily,

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but I've found some websites to be helpful in building regex queries as they allow testing of queries immediately and visually on the data of choice:

Hello all,

I'm working on an extensive project to update our 650 genres to 655 genres, as well as adding new genre headings based on 650 fields. There's a lot of moving parts here as I'm struggling to learn regular expressions for this project.

Before I reinvent the wheel, does anyone have a Regex "cookbook" of sorts? I'm looking for some canned expressions that would work as plug-and-play to string together longer statements.

For example, I want to add a 655 field IF the record has a 650 that ends in "films." and I want to add a different 655 IF the record has a 650 field that ends in "television programs."

Thanks for any ideas, I've tried searching the archives but I'm not finding what I'm hoping exists.
Emily
