That version was updated on: 12/03/2019. My first advice would be to update. The rules files have changed since then, it could be an update to the rules file that is valid in the current version is causing an issue.

7.2.50. I start in a .mrk/.mrk8 file and go to Tools/Validate MARC Records ([Current File])/OK.

Version number? How are you validating - I did post a fix when validating from within the Marceditor in the last update.

Hi,
I went to validate a file on which I'd been making edits and, after various troubleshooting, now realize that every attempt I make to use the "Validate MARC Records" tool results in the Index/Array error. This includes single LC records from files we've loaded into our catalog with no problems. I went to run the repair process that's available where you would go to uninstall and got a message to the effect that the process required a network resource that was not available. I thus went and retrieved the "marcrules" file that the validator uses, placed it on my desktop, loaded it to the validator from there, and rant it. Still the same problem. Any ideas? I have not installed the new update (beta).
