If instead of using the MARC-8 option, you use the MARC files option, does it still look like your raw MARC screenshot, or does it appear as Ã2016 (which is how it should appear in raw MARC for a MARC-8 file)

I've seen similar results when the file gets converted to MARC-8 twice--the copyright symbol changes to {copy} and ends up as {lcub}copy{rcub}
