Hello all,

I am working with a file of roughly 17,000 records. I am trying to make
some changes to the barcode numbers in the record. I have a macro that I
run against the file to pad the barcode numbers out to 9 digits. When I run
the macro the changes appear to be made. I immediately save the file and
compile it to MARC. When I perform another function to append a prefix onto
those barcodes, the barcode numbers revert to the state they were in prior
to the changes made with the macro.

I've even opened the file I've compiled to MARC to try to edit that file and
I find that the changes that looked to have been made when I ran the macro
are now gone.

Am I doing something wrong or do I have to do something to the macro to get
it to work for real?

Thanks,

Nora
