This regular expression finds lines whose last character is the full
stop and removes it:
Find: (.*)(\.)$
Replace with: $1
But what do you do when the line ends with an abbreviation, like "2nd
ed.", "Buildings, structures, etc.", "'Regex for the newbie'--Pref.",
"Kanga-Fry, $c Mr." and you want to keep that full stop?
