Hi Cynthia,

One way to extract for editing all records that do not have a 020 or
010 field would be to add the missing field with the MarcEditor's
Add/Delete Field on the Tools menu.
(screenshots attached)
Add some arbitrary string
field: 020
field data: //$amissing

Check the Add field only if not present box in the Search options
group. Then click the Add Field button.

Then use the Select MARC Records on the Tools menu of the MarcEdit
start page, then Extract Selected Records.

Navigate to the file to which you added the dummy 020 fields in the
Source MARC File box and then Import File.

(You can read about selecting MARC records in the MarcEdit Help files
under Using MarcEdit/Miscellaneous Utilities.)

In the Search box type:
F#:$020$a missing
(note the space before 'missing')

Then export Selected which will prompt for location and file name.

Repeat for the 010 but don't forget to look for a missing 010 when
working the 020 file.

regards,
dana
