Hi,
The harvesting tool actually doesn't have any control over how the data is harvested. This is completely at the discretion of the individual service. So, when MarcEdit passes the request, it is accepting all the data that the service will provide back to it, and then processing the data accordingly.

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Harvest OAI Records Date Range
Hello,
We are troubleshooting an issue with harvesting records from our DSpace instance using MarcEdit. We don’t get any error message, but records are missing that should have been harvested that fall within the date range we specified in the MarcEdit harvesting tool. We are still unable to verify if this is a DSpace systems issue or a MarcEdit issue. We are wondering what Dublin Core field the Date Range in the harvesting tool is referencing. If others have run into a similar issue when DSpace OAI Harvesting transitioned to SOLR and found a solution please share.
Thanks
Amanda Harlan
