As mentioned by Doug and Lisa, we use tailored Assigned Tasks, primarily to massage records for digital content provided by various vendors, including "call number," MARC/UTF character validation/correction in the 520 field, 856 info., and so on.

Do you mean with something like AutoHotkey (never used that with MarcEdit), or do you mean task lists? My most commonly used ones clean up various punctuation and headings issues in vendor records for Kanopy and Films on Demand, and as Doug said, proxy rewrites.
