I got this same error on both my Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines. Both
installs are "all users". At the installation stage that I think is
something like "Removing shortcuts" (?), a message window pops up with a
red x-in-circle icon, title "Problem with Shortcut", reading "This
action is only valid for products that are currently installed." I can
click OK on this message and the install continues to "Removing backup
files", "Copying new files", etc. and apparently completes as normal.
However, now any time the MarcEditor is launched by opening a .mrc or
.mrk file (not if I click it from the main MarcEdit window), I briefly
see an installer progress meter "Please wait while Windows configures
MarcEdit 7.5 ... Gathering required information..." I haven't noticed
any impact on actual functionality yet, but it's a bit annoying because
opening files is the most common way I open MarcEdit.
