Hello,
I am trying (without success) to convert a txt file back into Marc21 using
the Marcedit delim txt translator.
I am migrating a Follett installation into Koha, and the Follett call
numbers are just allllll over the place. I am sure some of you have shared
this delightful experience, or something similar.
My steps:
-start with Follett records, add 4 new tags to each record (see below),
convert to .mrk
-create export rules template and export records to tab delim.
-use MSExcel to sort records, use 4 empty tags (see above) to create
collection codes, shelf locations, item types, etc
- <-- HERE IS WHERE I AM STUCK
-create MarcEdit ".mrd" import rules template, use delimtxt translator to
convert back to Marc21
I do not get the "wrong file format" error. However, I do get the following:
**************
Here are the first few lines of the resulting error:
******begin truncated error message********
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index and length must refer to a
location within the string. Parameter name: length
at System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks(Int32 startIndex, Int32
length, Boolean fAlwaysCopy)
at frmMain.P3_cmd_finish_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e)
******end of truncated error message******
-Any ideas?
-Thanks, Joe
