If you wanted to isolate these records based on the presence of another field -- I'd use the Extract Selected Records tool. It is the easiest way to create a subset of records for edit that includes specific field data, is missing a specific field or subfield, or contains multiple fields/subfields. There will be a youtube video posted shortly that demonstrates how.

I think 245 indicator 1 was more important for controlling the printing of cards than it is for online systems. The systems I've worked with ignore it for purposes of indexing and displaying the 245. I probably wouldn't lose any sleep over this issue.
