Hi there
I would second this suggestion!
Here at Victoria University we will be creating a bunch of Authority records for corporate names for a Rosetta-Alma project. I'm thinking of getting a file ready with the help of MarcEdit. Which is probably the only tool that can help.
Kind regards,
Skalk

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Authority file creation using MARCedit
Hi Terry
I've been using the Delimited Text Translator tool to create authority records in MARCedit, which is great and is making my life a lot easier. I wonder if it might be to include an authority file option in the Edit LDR/008 tool, as it would be really useful to be able to select an auto-generated LDR and 008 even if they are just basic, rather than having to count all the character positions to enter the right data in the right place. Just an idea for a future option.
Thanks very much,
Nicky
