I mentioned this thread to my colleague in charge of serials here.  We
would be VERY interested in any guidance or protocols in this area!  

We currently are verifying and cleaning up holdings statements in our
ILS's check in records and then having to reformat and re-enter the same
data in OCLC for updating the LHRs.  Any mechanism that would avoid this
"double touching" and foster subsequent batch handling of the cleaned
data would be welcome.
