Janet,
The problem might stem from a change in your FTP client's settings. Ie,
.txt is, naturally, ASCII, but .mrc is, more-or-less, BINARY. Make sure
your FTP client actually sees these MARC .txt files as binary -- unless
you already knew this and have already been changing the extensions
before downloading the files; in which case, nevermind.
