Actually -- those are only a couple of the fields in use.  The $b is set to fall to unspecified in all cases when the tool isn't able to make a determination based on an evaluation of the whole of the record.  This is what sometimes leads to quirks as the record itself will include data, that when taken as a whole, lead to this outcome.

I ran the RDA helper over an atlas and got the following 336-338.

I think the relevant parts of the record used to generate the 336-338 are:

=LDR  01094nem a2200337 i 4500

=008  960424s1993\\\\ag\\\\\\\\e\\\\\\1\nspa\\

I appreciate the RDA helper cannot give 100% accuracy for every kind of resource and RDA helper is helps us a lot.

However I thought I should point out that the 337 $a and 338 $a do not correspond with the 337 $b and 338 $b. They should be "n" and "nc" respectively.
