Thank you, Steve. We're a small public library with only 20k or so records.
The only thesauri we use are LCSH & AC. That said, it seems less than
helpful to have subject headings that are as redundant as the examples
I provided. Where the AC are appreciably different than the LCSH, my
preference is to keep both. To be honest, I've never seen a catalog
that makes use of the second indicator.
But I fear we're straying rather far from the purview of this list ...
