Not having a Win 10 machine to test with right now, all I can ask is for more detail on exactly where in the process of creating a new task you are seeing this error occur.
Or perhaps it only occurs once you've saved and try to run the task? And what's in the task list?
The 64-bit Ver 7.1.137 is creating tasks for me (in Win 7) today as expected.

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Error when attempting to create new Task
Good afternoon,
I am unable to create a Task in the Editor using the latest 64-bit version of MarcEdit. I receive the error below. I have uninstalled/reinstalled MarcEdit. This is the first time I am using this feature on Windows 10 and in this work environment (new job). I couldn't find info about this error in the list or in debugging help. As a test, I limited my .mrk file to a single, validated record, but that did not help.
Am I doing something really ridiculous to cause this error? Perhaps my computing environment is interfering?
Thanks in advance for any insight anyone may have.
