Can the delimited text translator produce MARCXML? I've set up a very simple
use-case in a tab delimited file: three location (852$a-$c) with arbitrary values,
no indicators.
I've selected the import file and saved as type "MARC21XML (*.xml).
I've applied default leader and 008 values and applied the tags to their
respective fields and arguments, then selected finish.
The end results is always the same, something that doesn't resemble MARCXML
as I understand it.
My result:
=LDR 00000nam 2200000Ia 45e0
=008 140325s9999\\\\xx\\\\\\\\\\\\000\0\und\d
=852 \\$test-location-a
=852 \\$test-location-b
=852 \\$test-location-c
LOC example MARCXML record:
http://www.loc.gov/standards/marcxml/Sandburg/sandburg.xml
Is this an undocumented issue or, perhaps more likely, am I doing something
wrong?
Many thanks in advance.
