There are a couple ways you could do it -- though they will depend on the amount of processing you need to do with the data as part of the field creation. Probably the easiest way would be to use the build new field tool and have it replace the existing field, though it would require you to know all the subfields potentially present in your 245 field. The other option would be to use a regular expression (multi-line) or use the move field option from the Edit Subfield function or the swap field function. The answer is really going to depend on how varied your data is and how much formatting you want to occur when you move the data from xx to the 245$c.

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Need help with adding 245 $c

Hello,

I want to create 245 $c using the 100 and/or 700s. Is this the case I would need to use RegExp or is there another way to do it? My knowledge of RegExp is very limited. Could someone help?

Thank you so much.

Best,
Linh
