You won't be banned, but it will take a while. MarcEdit respects HTTP Status requests that tell the tool to slow down or pause processing. I actual work with data provides to ensure that the process can throttle on request.
You can split records though by using MarcSplit and split up your records for processing.

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Validate Headings report
Is there any functional or best-practice limit on the size of the file of records when using the Validate Headings report? Not so much on the MarcEdit side, but whether I am likely to get IP-banned or similar by the remote system for making too many requests in too short a period of time. I need to check headings on over 64,000 records and am wondering if I should split them up into chunks and only do a batch every half an hour or something.
