I have opened these files by just changing the file extension from .bin to .mrc; just ignore the warning about changing file names.

Subject: [MARCEDIT-L] Springer ebook woes
We've started loading the OCLC records for our Springer e-books.
However I'm not getting very far. The file I get from OCLC is a .bin
file and when I try to use MarcEdit to open it so I can edit the records
I get an error.
I have MarcBreaker and Translate to UTF8 options checked and when I hit
execute I get the following:
Error number: -100
I can open the file in notepad and it looks like a .mrc file.
Everything I've done with MarcEdit so far has been starting with a .mrc
file. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Any hints would be greatly appreciated
Thanks;
Teressa
