If you asked windows 11 to manually set the associations -- you will have to remove them first. Once set by the user, the application can't change associations. That has to be done manually (deleting the association and then having the program reset them).

How do I set the mrc and mrk file associations in Windows 11? My install does not have them set, and they boxes in Preferences are grey. If I run as administrator, I can check them and save, but it does not change anything on the machine.
