I've experiencing a new problem which has only cropped up in the past
week or so.

I am finding that when I edit a large file, the diacritics get garbled
upon saving. I am working with UTF-8 records. When I initially break
the file, I inspect the file and all the diacritics are displaying as
expected. Then I perform some edits (in this case, deleting $b from 050
fields), then save, and the diacritics are garbled.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Holly
