We do have these kinds of numbers, Lisa, but I haven't had to deal with them so far.

KF comes to mind off the top of my head, since it is often followed by a third letter for law of a specific state (e.g. KFC = law of California). 
A quick glance at the classification outline shows me some other K subclasses similarly can have a third class letter.

Another kind of "weird" call number that might not fit well is the kind with a year or military unit number in the middle, e.g. HB3717 1929 .G3 (a book about the 1929 stock market crash) or UA27.5 25th .U6 1967 (about the US 25th Infantry Division in the Vietnam War).

Of course, Sally's collection might not have any items in these areas.
