Apologies for my ignorance...I'm pretty unfamiliar with MarcEdit and any
files that aren't .mrc

A vendor is supplying me with 97 so-called MARC records that are in a
single .001 file

I asked for some support and was told, merely, "...the file will either
save to your machine (Firefox or Chrome) or it will open (Internet
Explorer). If you're using Internet Explorer and you want to save the
file locally, you will need to right-click the link to the set of MARC
records you want to download, click Save Target As, and then choose your
download location. The .001 file that's downloaded should be importable
to your local system."

Here's what I would like to do, if someone could tell me how:
1) I would like to convert this .001 file to a .mrc file.
2) I would like to break the file into 97 .mrc files, one for each
record. I would like to do this so that I can load a single test record
into the ILS, rather than loading all 97 of them.

Thanks to any and all!
