So, you could use the Extract Selected Resources tool. This can be accessed from the Main window/Tools/Extract Selected Records menu items. Set the display field to the field you want to use to query on (so in this case, 546$a) -- and import the file. You can then search and select fields that you want to export. Now, I've used this tool on some large data sets -- but if we are talking about really large sets (hundreds of thousands) -- it may be pretty slow.
